These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your stay at John's Solitude, a family-run homestay in Kunchithanny, Munnar, Kerala.

By using our website and/or making a booking, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking Terms

1.1 Reservation Methods

You may book your stay via:

• Our Google Form / WhatsApp enquiry
• Third-party platforms (e.g., Booking.com)

1.2 Confirmation

All direct bookings are confirmed subject to availability. We may request an advance to hold your reservation. Confirmation will be sent via WhatsApp/email.

1.3 Check-In & Check-Out Timings

• Check-in: 1:00 PM
• Check-out: 11:00 AM

Early check-in/late check-out is subject to availability and may attract additional charges.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

2.1 Direct Bookings

• Free cancellation if cancelled 24 hrs or more before the check-in date.
• No refund for cancellations made within 24 hrs of check-in or no-shows.

2.2 Platform Bookings

For bookings made via Booking.com, Airbnb, etc., the respective platform's cancellation policy applies.

3. House Rules

• Smoking is not permitted in the property.
• Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight without prior permission.
• Guests are expected to maintain decorum and treat staff, property, and nature with respect.
• Damage to property (intentional or accidental) may attract charges.

4. Children & Extra Beds

• Children of all ages are welcome.
• Extra bedding may be provided on request and is subject to availability and applicable charges.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.

5. Meals & Kitchen Use

• Meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) are available upon request and will be charged separately if not part of your package.
• Guests are not permitted to use the kitchen unless specifically agreed upon.

6. Pets Policy

Pets are not allowed.

7. Use of the Website

7.1 Content & Information

All content, images, pricing, and descriptions on this website are owned by or licensed to John's Solitude. Reproduction or misuse without permission is prohibited.

7.2 Accuracy

We strive to keep all information up to date, but occasional errors or changes may occur. We reserve the right to modify offerings, prices, or services without prior notice.

8. Payments

• We accept payments via UPI, bank transfer, cash, and select third-party apps.
• For advance payments, details will be shared upon booking confirmation.
• Receipts can be provided upon request.

9. Liability Disclaimer

John's Solitude is not responsible for:

• Loss or damage of personal belongings
• Accidents, injuries, or medical issues arising during your stay
• Events beyond our control such as weather disruptions, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions

10. Guest Conduct

We reserve the right to refuse service or evict guests for:

• Violation of house rules
• Disruptive, abusive, or illegal behavior
• Damage to property or premises

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

11. Unauthorized Use

Unauthorized use of this site and/or duplication of this material without express and written permission from this site's author and/or owner is strictly prohibited and would be considered as a criminal offence. Excerpts and links may be used, provided that full and clear credit is given to johnssolitude.com with appropriate and specific direction to the original content.

We value your privacy. Information collected through the website or during your stay will be handled per our Privacy Policy.
